I’ve always been interested in art and those who create. I admire their ability to step back from the distractions of everyday life, to look inward (or explode outward), to create, and to express themselves with bravery and vulnerability for others to enjoy.

My definition of a “creative” is a person who…well… creates - whether it be visual art, music, a new business, or a nonprofit organization working to change the world. I admire those who have a vision and the guts to walk along the path of the “vision” that they have yet to realize.

In terms of the visual arts, I’ve always been enamored by abstract artists. Many of us can enjoy a representation of a sunset or a stream - the objects of beauty that surround us each and every day.

However, I am most intriqued by those who create something we’ve never seen before - something that the artist was brave enough to create - and put on display - to cause others to stop, reflect, and critique.

My experiences viewing abstract art over the last few years (oil or acrylic paint on canvas) eventually inspired me to try my hand at creating. Like many of us who experience abstract art, I thought, “I can do that!” (well, kind of…)

So, I began creating...

I lovingly refer to my art as (notice the quotes) "ART." I begin with no direction and end when it "feels right" to me. I hope you enjoy the few pieces that I’ve included below. More importantly, I hope that you are inspired to create.
